Microwave Cooking – Scrambled Egg

I came across this recipe in a Malay channel’s cooking show. The original recipe calls for crab meat and fish sauce also. But as I’m allergic to seafood, I skipped those ingredients in the preparation. If you want to cook using them, add 2 tabelspoons of cooked crab meat and  a teaspoon of fish sauce along with egg during preparation.


Eggs: 2

Onion: 1; finely chopped

Green Chillis: 1; finely chopped (you can substitute with chilli powder or pepper powder)

Salt: as per taste

Oil: 1 teaspoon


1. Mix all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and beat till the eggs froth. Microwave for 1-2 minutes.

2. Leave in the oven for 5 minutes. Take out the bowl and scramble the egg mixture before serving hot with chapatis or rice.

Note: You have to use a big bowl as egg tends to overflow while cooking.
